Online Track
FSU will offer enhanced video lectures, beginning with the advanced modules (topics 19–25). The content is led by Dr. Kelsey Syvrud and co-created with Bob Rice. The program draws on faculty expertise across FSU, with select topics featuring contributions from specialists in complementary disciplines.
In-Person Track
FSU will also offer companion in-person events beginning this fall, focused on specific asset classes. These sessions will include 10 hours of instruction over a 1.5-day session on Thursday-Fridays in West Palm Beach, combining education and networking.
Business Model
Costs are covered through sponsorship or partnership arrangements with product firms. Sponsors, however, have no influence over the educational content and do not appear in any materials.

Bob Rice
Bob Rice has educated advisors on alternatives for over a decade through every medium: hundreds of live events; years of daily TV appearances as the Alternatives Editor for Bloomberg; writing (“The Alternative Answer”, a WSJ bestseller); and numerous online courses and webinars, including as lead expert for IWI’s Certificate in Private Investing course. Bob is also an adjunct professor in the College of Law and the College of Business at Florida State University.
Kelsey Syvrud
Kelsey Syvrud is an experienced finance lecturer and investment strategist. At FSU’s College of Business, she teaches graduate level courses on investments and portfolio construction and leads executive education initiatives in private alternatives, designing academically rigorous, practitioner-focused programs. Her background blends academic research with hands-on portfolio construction and manager due diligence across public and private markets.
